About the Event
Seeking Safety is a peer-led counseling model for helping people who have experienced trauma, mental illness, and/or substance abuse. What makes the model safe and effective is how it directly addresses both trauma and addiction without requiring clients to delve into detailed accounts, thus making it relevant to a very broad range of clients and easy to implement. Becoming a Seeking Safety Facilitator means having more practical knowledge about mental wellness that can be used personally and professionally, receiving a physical certification, being able to seek out paid Peer Support job opportunities, and more.
On December 16th or 17th, let’s learn to better help members of our communities replace unsafe, temporary coping skills with safer, more sustainable choices.
Class times are from 9am to 5pm. Go here to register.
