POET JEN HARRIS

Poet Jen Harris is a professional tearjerker, public speaker, spoken word poet, activist, published author, founder of Kansas City Poetry Slam, Sunflower Poetry Open Mic and The Writing Workshop KC, whose missions coincide to develop literary and performance passion within supportive and encouraging writing communities. She is a TEDx fellow, a Button Poetry & Write About Now Poetry feature, guest speaker on Queer Eye, Season 3, author of three books of poetry and the recipient of numerous accolades. Her work is poetic memoir, a confessional assortment of first-person accounts of queer life in a divided America.
